Any individual or business with a genuine payment dispute, cheque bounce, property dispute, fraud claim, or similar case can submit a complaint, along with supporting documents.
Who can search the registry?
Anyone. The registry is public — businesses and individuals can search a name or city before entering into a transaction to check for reported case entries.
Is there a cost to file a complaint?
A processing fee of ₹99 applies at submission. If the case is approved after documentation review, an additional listing fee applies before it goes live.
What if I've been wrongly listed?
Listed parties have the right to respond. You can submit your side of the story through the "Dispute a listing" page and request a correction review.
How long does review take?
Our target turnaround is 48 hours from submission, though it may vary depending on the documentation provided.

No. DefaultersList is a listing platform only. Entries reflect claims submitted by filing parties and are reviewed for documentation completeness, not independently adjudicated.
